The lake as logistics
A welcome gathering, a Mehndi or Sangeet where those traditions belong, a ceremony and a reception may sit in one house or move between a hotel, a garden and a later room. Each move on Como is a decision about boats versus the lakeside road — and about whether guests should change, rest, or stay dressed.
Unlike a Tuscan estate weekend, Como often works because hotels already sit near one another. A room block in one house, a buyout, or two neighbouring hotels can keep the group from dissolving into a long transfer every morning. Villas offer privacy; they do not automatically offer enough beds for everyone who flew.

Boats have weather and timetable limits. Luggage moving from Milan airports to a villa that is only reachable on foot from a landing stage is a different problem from a hotel with a forecourt.
The house coordinates airport transfers, ground transportation and, where the place asks for them, boats — as part of guest travel and logistics, not as a spectacle added at the end.
Ceremony and weather
Outdoor light on the lake is part of the brief. A multi-day programme still needs an indoor answer for a ceremony, a dinner or a Sangeet if the weather will not hold. Production — sound, light, décor — has to reach the property by road even when guests arrive by water. Those constraints are asked before a garden is promised.
